It's
DONE!
Thank you for your patience!
I was finally able to finish the development
of the DVD on Friday and spent the weekend testing,
printing, and burning finished copies of the DVD. I
have mailed several, in fact nearly all, of the DVD's
on order. Don't believe me, keep watching your mailbox.
If you have been waiting to order until I finally start
shipping, you can stop waiting. I have several dozen
on hand waiting to go out into the mail immediately.
I guarantee less than a week turn around from the time
you order until you receive your copy in the mail. So
order now and receive before Thanskgiving. Please keep
in mind International orders will take longer to arrive
via post.
I will be updating several sections of the web site
tonight so that everyone can be clued into what I have
done.
Technical Difficulties Slowing
Progress,
I love computers!
I sometimes wonder why I didn't become a truck
driver. Sure, trucks break down, but you can fix them,
they do not need security upgrades, and the technology
doesn't change every 6 months. Well, you could have
guessed I would have had some technical difficulties,
but the good news is that I have upgraded to a better
software program and should be on track to finish this
weekend with final production. I will then turn my attention
to burning copies of the master. Check out details of
the project production process in the "How Produced"
Section.
Stuff I am Learning...
Did you know?
Did you know that a personal PayPal account
cannot accept credit card or debit payments? Well, I
didn't, but I am definitely learning. If you paid with
PayPal following the instructions, then you have done
everything right. Unfortunately, that account cannot
accept credit card or debit account payments without
upgrading to a Premiere Account or Business Account
which incurs a $0.45 per $5.00 purchase. So, I have
added to the instructions page to include a second account
to order the DVD from. This is a Premiere Account that
will also accept International Money.
And for those that think I might be skirting the PayPal
rules, I am not. I will be transfering the funds paid
into the Personal Account into the Premiere Account
in hundred dollar increments. This means fees will be
charged, but they will not be 10% per transaction. The
fees will amount to about 4% overall. Plus, I have a
credit card (actually debit) on that other account from
which to puy supplies from. So, PayPal will get 2.5%
from the VISA transaction when I purchase the materials.
Are You Excited?
Commemorative DVD nearing completion!
I know that I said the DVD would be available
around the middle to late September, and I am sorry
for the delay, but the move to the metropolitan Washington
D.C. area left me a little disorganized. I am still
trying to unpack and find everything, but I will spare
you the details.
Progress continues, slowly...
I am currently working on some of the final
slideshows and hoping to finish by October 18th. At
this stage of the production, I will need some start
up funds to purchase the necessary supplies. So, I am
opening the sale of the DVD to the BrickFest attendees
first. This will soon be followed by those in the LEGO©
community that would also like a copy. I will be keeping
an open account book for all to see the costs and expense
of doing this under the section, "Explanation of Costs."
To order a copy
To order a copy of the BrickFest 2004 Commemorative
DVD, follow the instructions on the instructions page.
Please read them carefully and follow the directions
exactly. Deviations from the instructions will only
result in unecessary delays and complications.
Check back here
I will be updating the various sections above
frequently so check back often. I hope to put some previews
and photos up here as things develop. I am particulary
interested in thanking everyone that has been involved.
I will put all of that under "People to Thank."
